There is no question that Kim Cattrall’s body has begun to show the first signs of the passing of time, but that’s far from saying that she doesn’t look good. Simply by thinking that, at 53, she continues to be the second most famous SATC girl, while also the most inhibited of the bunch, it becomes clear that she must put in a lot of effort to look this stunning.

According to How Celebrities Lose Weight, Kim also has genetics on her side, and she’s the first to admit to that. However, no matter how generous nature has been with her – and it has, she says –, she still has to make sure she keeps to a balanced, healthy diet and regular workouts in order to look her best. So, she avoids bread and alcohol when she wants to lose some weight, and tries to get some exercise whenever she has the time.

Eating healthily is extremely important for Kim, and not only on the grounds that it helps her lose weight when she needs to, but also because she needs to have energy to be able to make it through the day. However, since she simply loves food and the temptation is big, her weight often turns out to be her biggest problem. “I have to use diet tips because I love to eat. I stop the bread and alcohol. You need to eat right to lose weight.” the actress says in a recent interview, as quoted by HCLW.

Still, dieting alone is not enough to lose weight and keep it off, so Cattrall also dedicates some time to working out. Given her mostly hectic schedule, there are days when she simply can’t find the time to go to the gym, no matter how badly she’d want to. Those days, she explains, she tries to replace the workout she would have done at the gym with something else, like walking – an easy-to-accomplish task, come to think of it, although the results are not comparable.

“I do easy exercises to lose weight, as much as I can. If I don’t exercise, I feel sluggish. I try to do 30 minutes a day. If I can’t get to a gym, I walk. I find it a release. There is no secret I have some genetics on my side, but time is taking over.” Kim is quoted as saying. Pilates with a personal trainer seems to be Cattrall’s favorite exercise routine, but she also weight trains for more definition in her body.
