Kim Basinger, Dragged to Court Again

The feud between Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin continues as strong as ever but, this time, the two are no longer throwing insults at each other, but fighting over their daughter Ireland. The Oscar-winning actress is liable of being held in contempt of the court, if her former husband's allegations prove to be true.

In the bitter dispute for the custody of the child, the two stars have repeatedly accused each other of all kinds of evil schemes. Now, Baldwin claims that his wife disobeyed the judge's orders and withheld vital information from him.

Alec stated that Kim has intently kept it a secret from him that, back in 2005, she went out of town for a while to work, leaving the baby with some stranger instead of with her natural father. Court papers also read that Baldwin testified against Basinger and said that, on one occasion, Ireland got injured and needed medical attention and he wasn't told anything, nor at the time or later after.

On Friday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert A. Schnider ordered Kim to prepare for yet another court hearing, on October 4th, when she is to defend herself against charges of contempt of a court of law. But her attorney said that this is just another move to discredit the actress, undoubtedly coming from her spiteful former husband.

'This is nothing more than harassment. These allegations are specious and Kim looks forward to her vindication', the defense lawyer stated.
