Guerrilla Games, the developer of the upcoming Killzone: Shadow Fall first-person shooter, has confirmed that the game's multiplayer will run at 60fps although it doesn't rule out the occasional dropped frame or slowdown due to the hectic action on the screen.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is set to show off the power of the PlayStation 4 next-gen console this November.

Based on the videos shown up until now, the game is looking set to be a great experience that runs at a full HD 1080p resolution and has a solid 60fps framerate in the single-player campaign.

In the multiplayer, however, developer Guerrilla isn't ruling out dropped frames, meaning the framerate could go under 60fps at times.

"The game may drop a few frames in extreme situations – when there are a lot of GPU-intensive things going on at once. Guaranteeing a constant 60fps under such circumstances would’ve required undesired concessions," the studio's Eric Boltjes told PS blog.

Even so, Guerrilla is confident that the multiplayer in Shadow Fall will be a smooth experience.
