Killzone: Shadow Fall, the impressive first-person shooter that's been confirmed for release on the PlayStation 4, has just received a few new details.

The new info reveals how the Vectan and Helghast factions interact and how the guns can go through different modes.

The Killzone series has delivered some impressive experiences across various PlayStation platforms over the years, from the PS2 to the PS3, PSP, or PS Vita. Developer Guerrilla Games is currently getting ready to debut it for the PlayStation 4.

After seeing a great demonstration back in February, a few new details have appeared in the latest Game Informer magazine, via GE.

The article confirms that the Helghast and Vectan factions are now living together but, as always, there's a tense conflict between the civilizations.

The Guerrilla team wants to expand the universe while improving on the abilities of the player, like the death-from-above execution.

Weapons will have different modes, like short or long range, and players can switch between them on the fly.

No other details were shared, but you can expect to hear more straight from Sony at upcoming events like E3 2013.
