Guerrilla Games has confirmed that it's going to debut a special free downloadable map pack for Killzone: Shadow Fall in the near future that will bring some of the more popular levels from previous games into the new PS4 installment.

The Killzone series has delighted first-person shooter fans from across the console generations, appearing on the PS2, PSP, PS3, PS Vita, and through last year's Killzone: Shadow Fall, for the new PS4 console.

The latest title has impressed many PS4 owners since its release last November and developer Guerrilla Games has made sure to support it via special updates and patches, not to mention free and premium DLC that enhanced the multiplayer experience and offered way more things to do.

Now, while talking with fans on Reddit during an AskMeAnything feature, Guerrilla Games has confirmed that a special retro map pack DLC is going to be announced really soon.

The studio has also emphasized that, like with previous maps, the new add-on will be offered for free, meaning all Killzone: Shadow Fall owners will be able to enjoy it, regardless of whether they want to spend money or not.

As of yet, no other details are known, so it's unclear what old maps will appear in Shadow Fall soon.
