The development team at Guerrilla Games working on Killzone: Shadow Fall says that the game can handle 24 enemies on screen before the frame rate drops, a testament to the improved hardware of the PlayStation 4.

Eric Boltjes, the lead designer working on the shooter, tells the Official PlayStation Magazine that, "Previously we were limited. You could have six or seven guys on screen, only two types, and it had to be at a specific range."

The game also offers a lot of dynamic objects for players to interact with and a destructible environment that evolves as firefights take place.

It's unclear how the team at Guerrilla Games plans to make sure that there's no situation in Killzone: Shadow Fall where more than 24 enemies are on screen at the same time.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive will be offered when the console is available, in both North America and Europe.
