Video game developer Guerrilla and publisher Sony have chosen to reveal more information about their upcoming Killzone Mercenary via a Polish magazine, offering details on the engine that will power it and on the core features of the experience.

NeoGAF extracted information out of the PSX Extreme feature and believes that the new game will use an engine that is almost identical to that seen in Killzone 3, but with a number of elements added to allow the shooter mechanics to be controlled using the touch screen.

Mercenary apparently looks gorgeous, with solid character models, and the frame rate that does not drop when large areas are included.

The piece also says the Vita-based Killzone is better looking than Uncharted: The Golden Abyss, which has been widely praised for the way it used the graphics capabilities of the new Sony handheld.
