Sony has revealed that the multiplayer mode from its recent Killzone 3 first person shooter, will be offered in the near future as a free-to-play download from its PlayStation Store, allowing all PS3 users to get in on the online action from the game that appeared a year ago.

Killzone 3 impressed us with its sharp graphics, great gameplay and pretty complex multiplayer mode.

Now, it seems that Sony has decided to experiment with the online mode from the shooter made by Guerrilla Games, confirming in a recent blogcast that a standalone Killzone 3 Multiplayer download will soon be available on the PS Store, free of charge.

This won’t be the full-fledged experience, as players will have a level cap lower than the one in the full game. For just $14.99/€14.99 they’ll be able to remove that cap.

As of yet, Sony hasn’t confirmed when the free-to-play download will be released, but you can expect some more details soon enough.
