Killzone 3 will get a multiplayer beta stage this month, but it will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers and there are quite a few requirements that must be met.

Killzone 3 is one of the most important first person shooters for the PlayStation 3, and will be arriving at the beginning of next year, complete with 3D support for the Sony console.

In order to really polish the multiplayer mode, its developer, Guerrilla Games, has announced that a public beta trial will be held on October 25.

There's a catch though, as only PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play it, and not even all of them, just 10,000 lucky ones.

If you're interested in going back into the Killzone universe and start shooting it up in glorious 3D, then here are the steps that must be taken in order to successfully gain access.

First off, and the most obvious, is to be a PlayStation plus subscriber, a service that offers lots of other features besides entry in public multiplayer beta stages.

Next up, on October 19, a special Killzone 3 PlayStation 3 XMB Theme will be available in the Plus section of the PlayStation Store, and the first 10,000 users that will download it, 5,000 form the U.S and 5,000 from Europe, will receive access to the multiplayer beta.

The lucky downloaders will get a promotion code in the mail on October 25, allowing them to download the actual multiplayer beta for Killzone 3.

"Those of you who make it into the Public Beta Trial are expected to provide honest gameplay feedback, report bugs and glitches, and help test our network code in real-world scenarios," revealed the studio.

"In short, we’re counting on you to help us improve Killzone 3! In return you’ll get a good taste of the multiplayer mode, including its brand-new Operations game type, party system, and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles."

If you really want to get a taste of Killzone 3 before it ships, then you must follow all of the steps mentioned above.
