Killzone is, along with a few other titles, one of the key franchises for Sony's PlayStation brand of consoles. Having won over a lot of fans on the PS2 with the first title, the team at Guerrilla Games confirmed, with the PSP title Killzone: Liberation and now, with Killzone 2 already launched and gaining critical acclaim and fan popularity, that things are going great for the series.

But don't think that this means that the team at Guerrilla Games is taking a break, as it is already hard at work on elaborating the first batch of DLC (Downloadable Content) that will arrive in the near future for the Killzone 2 title. Steven Ter Heide, a producer at the company, has talked with GameSpot about the DLC, and how he wants it to respond to the desires of fans around the world.

“The plans are that there will be DLC, but I can't go into specifics yet,” said Ter Heide. “The important thing for us is we want to be listening to the community, we want to see people play the game, and we're anxious to get online ourselves. As soon as the game hits and we see what people really like, what they want more of, we'll try and incorporate that into our DLC plans. The guys back home are already working on content, so it's not quite holidays for us yet.”

Killzone 2 has just been launched across all territories and is already racking up positive reviews left and right. The history of the series, combined with the cross-promotion, courtesy of Sony, as it placed the product in a lot of other places, including Home or LittleBigPlanet, made it sell quite well and approach the target that the Japanese company had placed when it said that it would sell like Metal Gear Solid 4.

Hopefully this DLC will come with some changed features, especially regarding the controls, as a lot of players have complained that they are a bit too complicated. All that we can do though is wait and see what Guerrilla Games will create for the game in the near future.

The controls are not complicated at all. It is the tenth of a second lag that the controllers have that pisses people off.

Including me.

The game is awesome but seriously, the controller response is so slow its unbearable. Why would any developer purposely put lag into their game? It makes no sense!!

um its killzone liberation, not retribution. you guys are mixing up resistance with killzone. andyway the reason for the lag isnt intentional, its because the graphics are so amazing that it lags the controls, at least thats what GG says

Actually the 'lag" on the controller your talking, is an effect. It's 'lag' effect is like you were called, then a second or two you turn your head.......

I just wish Killzone 2 has a battle group mode, were uber large maps are there, were there are camps, and were there are vehicles and the big robot park somewhere, along with the atac, and super soldiers.
