Sony's Home was launched a few weeks ago and the company says that the service proves successful with those who use a PlayStation 3 for their gaming needs. Now, Sony is launching the first real videogame tie in with Home by allowing interested fans to get their hands on Helghast and ISA costumes that can be used in the virtual world.

Amazon now has a pre-order offer allowing players to pay for a copy of the game and to get their hands on codes that will unlock the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance and Helghast costumes in Home. The items of body wear come in pieces; so, you can select to only equip head, torso, legs, hands or feet pieces if you do not want to go for the whole Killzone 2 look. The codes will come ten days before Amazon ships the pre-ordered Killzone 2 copies. Let's hope that they will keep that promise.

Killzone 2 is set to be the biggest release for the PlayStation 3 gaming console from Sony in 2009. Initially, the game was supposed to arrive in 2008 but due to the fact that Sony already had a big holiday line up, Guerilla Games, the developers, were given more time to polish the game as it was pushed back to 2009. The title, which has been shoved at every major gaming trade show since 2005, has showed a significant improvement in the graphics quality from 2007 to 2008 and now Killzone 2 is in a limited beta stage, where the multiplayer balance is being tested.

Players will have a chance to invade the Helghast Home planet on February 25 in Europe and on February 27 in North America. Until then, you can parade in your new Helghast costume in Home, hoping that someone notices you.
