Eurocom, a company well known for its desktop replacement notebooks and mobile workstations, has recently announced that its laptops can now be configured to feature Bigfoot Networks' Killer Wireless-N 1102 high-performance Wi-Fi card.

The adapter uses the half-size mini-PCIe form factor and its 2-stream MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) antennas enable it to reach transfer speeds of 300Mbps.

To further improve the latency of the card, this is compatible with Bigfoot's proprietary “Advanced Stream Detect” technology, which prioritizes network traffic to favor online games, HD video and other high-bandwidth applications.

Furthermore, bandwidth allocation can also be monitored and tuned by the end-user thanks to the included Visual Bandwidth Control software.

In addition to offering the Killer Wireless-N 1102 adapter by Bigfoot Networks in Eurocom notebooks, Eurocom is also offering the Wi-Fi card to dealers and resellers.

“On top of our Mobile Workstation, Mobile Server and Performance Business and Gaming Notebook sales to end users, Eurocom has many years of experience serving embedded developers, VARs, Dealers and resellers,” said Mark Bialic, president of Eurocom.

“As well as upgrading the major makes and models of users notebooks. We expect a great deal of interest in Killer Wireless-N 1102 high-performance wireless networking adapters among our partners and those interested in the best available technology” concluded the company's rep.

The Killer Wireless-N 1102 high-performance WiFi adapter is available right now as an optional in all of Eurocom's notebook models, including the high-performance Panther 3.0 on the go server. The part is listed as an $89 US upgrade.

Outside of the Killer Wireless-N 1102, Eurocom also offers four other WiFi cards. The highest performing option is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN and Bluetooth V3.0 module that uses a 2x2 MIMO configuration.
