Renowned designer Suda51's Killer Is Dead is making its way to Steam for PC, with the launch date set to May 23, according to the game's Steam listing.

The PC version is dubbed Killer Is Dead - Nightmare Edition, and it comes with a new game mode, Nightmare, where enemies can only be defeated using three attacks, Adrenaline Burst, Dodge Burst and Headshots. In addition, the Final Judgement QTE finisher doesn't work either.

The Nightmare Edition also comes bundled with some DLC, the Smooth Operator Pack, unlocked after Episode 3, as well as the option to rewatch cut-scenes whenever you feel like it, getting background information on all the characters after your first playthrough, via the Theater Mode.

Publisher Deep Silver originally intended to launch Killer Is Dead on May 9, but it seems like PC fans will have to wait two more weeks to get their hands on Suda51's cel-shaded action game.

The game follows government-sanctioned assassin Mondo Zappa, a playboy spy with a cybernetic arm. The gameplay and story are highly stylized and over the top, featuring a lot of weird melodrama and classic anime delivery.

It often borders on nonsensical and seems incoherent, as is usually the case with Suda51's games, which always present a strange and interesting journey.
