Skynet's prototype killer, the cyborg Fulgore, has been added to the Xbox One exclusive brawler Killer Instinct, part of the latest update.

The update also includes some more anticipated additions, the long-awaited arcade mode and eight player lobbies. This marks Double Helix's last opportunity to tighten the screws on Killer Instinct before shipping the developer magic wand to the guys at Iron Galaxy Studios, which will be taking over on behalf of Microsoft.

The update weighs in at about 6.8 GB, and it's rolling out in waves, so be patient if you still don't have it, your time will also come.

Additionally, Microsoft has started dropping some hints regarding what Iron Galaxy Studios will be up to during Season Two of the classic combo-based fighting game remake.

First of all, Fulgore's classic costume has been leaked in a video, and he comes in a nice variety of bright colors. Old-time fans will surely recognize the metal maniac from his good old days on the SNES.

Also in the news, one of Shadow Jago's ultimate combos will finally be making the transition into the game, following the developers’ discussing the possibility of its addition during Season Two. If you don't know what the big deal is with these ultimate combos, have a look at the video below.

Furthermore, there has also been speculation that Riptor might be included somewhere down the line for Season Two, and that she will play in a manner similar to the original character.

According to Microsoft, Iron Galaxy Studios is hard at work and well underway with Season Two, and we can all expect an official trailer pretty soon, when the team feels ready to offer us a glimpse of their work.

The last bit of news is a bit of a spoiler for the recently released story mode, so don't read it if you think it'll spoil your enjoyment of Killer Instinct's backstory.

Double Helix decided to go out with a bang, and as such, after completing the challenging story mode and defeating Shadow Jago, you not only get to see who is the boss of Ultra Tech, the mega corporation responsible for the creation of the Killer Instinct tournament, but you also get some hints that Aria, the top of the food chain at Ultra Tech, will serve as Season Two's final boss.

For now, the developers haven't revealed anything about Aria, aside from the silhouette in the picture above, and the fact that she's the next boss and a "really nasty character."
