Double Helix have introduced Orchid as the new character in their free-to-play fighting game Killer Instinct, part of the regular rotation program instated by the company last month.

Killer Instinct is an Xbox One exclusive title, part of the console's launching line-up, available to play for free, with a single character available, but with the option to purchase others either individually or in packs.

The game is Double Helix' reboot of the ludicrous combo-based SNES and arcade hit of the '90s, and in January the developer has announced that the free fighters offered for free players will be rotated on a regular basis in order to offer them a more enjoyable experience.

Orchid, the latest character to join the roster kicks out Thunder, the vengeful Native American. Described as paranoid and unstable, Orchid is determined to carry out her crusade against Ultratech.

She will unleash a flurry of quick attacks from her batons and, with the help of her fire-cat, she is sure to subdue her enemies in battle and to ultimately prove Ultratech's existence.
