Kiefer Sutherland mocks himself in hilarious Christmas card

Kiefer Sutherland is a funny guy. He also happens to love his fans a lot, and these two combined have just led to the creation of the most awesome celebrity Christmas card ever – of Kiefer tackling a Christmas tree.

Back in 2006, when Sutherland was still having severe alcohol issues, he shot a documentary called “I Trust You to Kill Me” in London.

One particular scene in that documentary got a lot of people talking about the state he was in; you can see it below, in the video embedded at the end of the article.

A seemingly drunk Kiefer reacts to being told he's a pirate by diving into the tree and slamming it to the ground. The tree didn't stand a chance.

Now, the actor is mocking the scene in a very funny Christmas card he came up with for his fans, and then posted on Twitter.

In it, he's seen pretending to be about to launch an attack on an unsuspecting tree, very much in the manner he did back in 2006.

“(just kidding!)” is written in the upper corner and “Happy Holidays!” below.

Useless to say, fans reacted very positively to the card, praising the actor for never taking himself too seriously and, of course, for having a very healthy sense of humor.

Not the same can be said about the Kardashians, who have also released their own Christmas card – or Kristmas Kard, as it's been dubbed by celebrity bloggers.

The annual card / photo was shot by prestigious photographer Nick Saglimbeni, and comes both in 2D and 3D (if you have the special glasses, that is).

Like in previous year, it's fancy affair that only proves the Kardashians are too full of themselves, voices online are saying, as we also reported earlier today.

The Kardashian card is extremely photoshopped and gives off the impression of being very fake because of it. It's also super awkward and quite hilarious, even though that wasn't the intention when making it.
