Had there been any truth to his claims, he would have spoken earlier

Kiefer Sutherland refuses to engage in new feud, politely denies Freddie Prinze Jr.’s claims

Freddie Prinze Jr. was at Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego over the weekend and did some name-dropping like never before, saying his experience of working with Kiefer Sutherland on “24” almost 5 years ago was so “terrible” that he actually considered leaving the business afterwards.

His comments were made in a chat with ABC News on-site: he was there to promote the show “Star Wars Rebels.” The video below contains audio from the interview, so you can hear the actor burning Kiefer for being the “most unprofessional dude in the industry.”

If you thought Sutherland would unleash the rage monster upon hearing this, think again. He’s actually very chill about the whole thing, having probably realized that engaging Prinze Jr. in any way would mean giving him more fuel to continue his rant.

“Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than 5 years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances,” Sutherland’s publicist tells ABC News. “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.”

It’s true that Sutherland has somewhat of a reputation of a hellraiser but that alone shouldn’t warrant such a public attack from Freddie, especially after all these years in which he said nothing even remotely close to this.

If anything, he’s always spoken very highly of Sutherland, praising him for being such a talented and experienced actor, and at the same time, generous enough to share some of his knowledge with his younger peers, like himself.

So why the attack now? Could it be that Freddie Prinze Jr. is trying to drum up some publicity for his latest project by trying to start a feud with the volatile Sutherland? If that was the case, his first attempt was a failure.
