Held at the USC Galen Center on Saturday in Los Angeles, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards welcomed with wild applause – and plenty of green goo for the sliming ceremony – the best of the best of the industry, for the kids.
Johnny Depp, Josh Duhamel, Heidi Klum and Russell Brand were all up on stage to hand awards to the winners, during the ceremony hosted by the always funny Jack Black, as
Too Fab can confirm.
The Black Eyed Peas performed (with Fergie rocking a lego dress). Before the show, countless other celebrities rocked the orange carpet, posing for the cameras.
As with every other
awards ceremony, the most important moments of the night were those when the winners were announced in categories like Favorite Movie Actor, Favorite Animate Movie and Favorite Butt-Kicker.
“The Karate Kid” won for Favorite Movie, and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s son Jayden was on hand to rejoice in the win. As fans must know, he played the lead in the blockbuster.
Johnny Depp was named Favorite Movie Actor for his role in “Alice in Wonderland” and, as a surprise, he showed up on stage with a hose, spraying kids in the audience with the same green goo with which celebrities were later slimed, as the aforementioned e-zine says.
“Heidi Klum, Snoop Dogg, Josh Duhamel, Russell Brand and more were all covered in the green goop during the awards show... while Johnny Depp got hold of a slime hose and blasted the audience!” Too Fab writes.
