Google is gearing up for the second ever Google Science Fair, an international online competition for young people designed to spur scientific creativity and research.
"Along with our partners CERN, The LEGO Group, National Geographic and Scientific American, today we’re launching the second annual Google Science Fair, the largest online science competition in the world, open globally to students ages 13-18," Google
explains.
"Either individually or in teams of up to three people, students pose a question, develop a hypothesis and conduct science experiments to test it," it says.
Applications are expected starting today and until April 1st. While only at its second edition, the Google Science fair is getting quite a reputation.
The winners from
last year had quite impressive projects and their prizes got them a lot of attention, from meetings with President Obama to getting invited to speak at big events.
