Singer Kid Rock was sued by a striptease club DJ for $575,000, claiming the entertainer punched him at a Nashville adult entertainment club in February. Jerry Campos of Cedar Hill, Tenn., seeks $500,000 in punitive damages and $75,000 in compensatory damages in the lawsuit filed Monday in Circuit Court, reports Associated Press.
The DJ claims that on February 16, Kid Rock slapped him on the left side of his face, "thereby causing severe, disabling and permanent injuries" during a 3 a.m. altercation at Christie's Cabaret downtown.
Kid Rock pleaded no contest to criminal assault and was given a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail. He also has to pay $180 to replace Campos' eyeglasses and to complete eight hours of anger management class.
