Nintendo has just revealed a few more details about its upcoming Kid Icarus: Uprising game for the 3DS handheld device, which is now set to appear, in its native Japan at least, on March 22, 2012.

Nintendo has just finished releasing some extremely popular games for the 3DS, in the form of Super Mario 3D Land or Mario Kart 7, and is getting ready to deploy other titles in the first few months of 2012.

Among them we have Kid Icarus: Uprising, which even got a fresh trailer earlier this month. Now, Nintendo has shared a few more details about the title, including some new information on the 3-on-3 competitive multiplayer mode, as well as the battle royal one, in which players engage in an old-fashioned death match.

Both these multiplayer modes will be playable online, via the multiplayer, but also locally, through the ad-hoc connection.

What’s more, Nintendo also shared a concrete release date of March 22 for Japan and, while no official details are now just yet, it’s safe to expect that the game will be arriving in North America or Europe soon after that.
