The Kardashian clan has been going through its roughest patch yet, since Kim announced she would be divorcing Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage. On that note, Khloe is now being named in a lawsuit as an assailant. A transgender woman has filed papers against the reality star, claiming she shoved and hit her in a confrontation that took place sometime last year.
Apparently, it all started from a remark the woman made about how Lamar Odom was too young to be married to Khloe, the
New York Post informs, citing reports in various other media outlets.
“Khloe Kardashian is being sued by a transgender woman who claims the reality TV star assaulted her outside a Hollywood nightclub. The incident occurred in December 2009, TMZ reported,” says the NY post.
“Chantal Spears, formerly known as Ronald Spears, said she approached Kardashian's husband, LA Lakers basketball star Lamar Odom, outside the Playhouse nightclub and told him he was 'too young to be married',” the report further mentions.
This didn't sit well with Khloe, who attacked the woman to silence her, shoving her aside and then hitting her repeatedly.
“She said Kardashian then 'pushed and hit' her. Her lawsuit says she required medical care and suffered from 'severe mental anguish' after the alleged assault, which she claims she did not provoke,” the report notes.
The NY Post doesn't mention what took Mrs. Spears so long until she came forward with her claims against Khloe, who, until just now, seemed to be about to emerge from the Kardashian scandal and backlash almost unscathed.
Speaking of the backlash, as noted above, it started the moment Kim announced her divorce, prompting intense speculation that the marriage had been planned as a PR stunt from the start.
Reports that Kris Humphries had
reached the same conclusion after some consideration didn't help the matter at all.
