“Khloe & Lamar,” the latest Kardashian spin-off, premiered last night on E! after weeks of promotion and lots of hype. The first episode was, as promised, all about drama, which can only mean the fun part doesn’t start until later on.

“It’s an amazing group of people and this season is going to bring a lot of laughs, a lot of love, and of course, a lot of drama,” Khloe wrote on her personal blog right before the show kicked off.

As the Daily Mail also puts it in a review of the first episode, and as any respectable Kardashian fan must already know, the new show focuses on Khloe and Lamar’s life as a married couple.

The two wed after just a month of courtship, which prompted lots of talk about how the marriage was just a PR sham meant to garner more media attention for the Kardashian clan.

The brand new series will reportedly put an end to such claims, while also showing another side of Khloe that was, until now, unknown to the public.

“Khloe & Lamar” will also detail the couple’s struggle to conceive, while showing how the two have to adapt to married life by learning how to compromise and be more understanding.

The first episode, though, was all about Lamar’s broken relationship with his addict father, and how Khloe tried to make the two come together again after many years, not knowing what exactly happened between them.

“My father’s a heroin addict,” Lamar admits to his new wife when she keeps pushing him to speak with his father.

“I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn’t around,” he explains.

“I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn’t supposed to see… It’s hard for me to speak up on it and get it through to Khloe because she grew up so different,” Lamar later says.

“Khloe & Lamar” doesn’t feature just the two lovebirds (who obviously can’t keep their hands off each other for longer periods of time), but also Khloe’s brother Rob, who lives in the same house as them, Khloe’s best friend Malika, and Lamar’s best friend Jamie.

Below is the extended trailer for “Khloe & Lamar.” Enjoy.
