14 DAY TRIAL // Not long ago, in an interview to promote his most recent album, rapper French Montana praised his then-girlfriend (now ex) Khloe Kardashian and her family to high heaven, making it sound as if he and Khloe were in it for the long run. They weren’t.
The two broke up a little over a week ago, presumably because he got too “needy” and too “clingy” for her taste, when all she wanted from a man post-Lamar Odom divorce was just some fun. A new report in Radar Online claims that there was a bit more to the breakup than this.
French Montana tried to cheat on Khloe, got caught
Their romance was still in the so-called puppy love stage, but insiders claim that he was already quite bored with it, and as such, looking to switch it up a bit. He was uninspired enough as to choose her best friend to do that.
Khloe went through French’s phone to see if there was anything there that should put her on high alert – and she got exactly what she was looking for when she found texts to her good friend Malika Haqq. According to the insiders, they were not the kind you’d want to show your mother.
“Khloe broke into French’s phone and saw him sending all kinds of inappropriate texts to her girl. That’s why they broke up,” one unnamed spy explains, under the promise of anonymity.
So French tried to cheat on his girlfriend with her best friend but he didn’t take into account the possibility that he would get caught or that she (Malika) would not reciprocate. The insider notes that Khloe won’t consider Malika responsible for the breakup in the least, since she trusts her completely.
She was also her “shoulder to cry on” after her painful split from Lamar Odom, her estranged, soon-to be-ex-husband.
Lamar could see this breakup as his second chance to save his marriage
At least, that’s what word on the street is: the NBA star, having now kicked the drug addiction that led to the demise of the marriage, and seeing that Khloe is single again, is thinking that she might be more open to the idea of reconciling.
The two were married for 4 years but spent most of the final year of the marriage apart, amid a lot of talk of drug addiction and infidelity on his part. Khloe eventually filed the papers for the divorce right before last Christmas but it wasn’t until many months later that he accepted the fact that she was not taking him back.
