They’re “on a break” right now because he got too serious for her taste

Khloe Kardashian is back on the market, and so is her rapper beau of a few months, French Montana. The news comes as a shock given that it was only weeks ago that word got out that he’d been hired to appear as a regular on her E!-produced reality show, after taking her mother Kris Jenner as his part-time manager.

French and Khloe started dating this spring and were soon quite inseparable. There was even some talk that she was looking forward to having his baby, determined to give married life another try after the heartbreak with Lamar Odom, whom she divorced in December last year.

He wanted too much, got too serious and “clingy” for her taste

As it turns out, a future together was not in the cards for these two: Us Weekly claims to have it on very good authority that they are currently “on a break” because “the relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back.”

It wasn’t just that that made Khloe call a time-out on the romance: another tipster reveals for the same publication that French became “too needy” and that “it grated on [Khloe] that he became so dependent on her.”

Considering she just came out of a really bad marriage with a drug addict whom she tried to get to rehab several times and failed, it’s no wonder Khloe would not have another clingy man around her – or, for that matter, look for anything series right now.

The family never really liked French, so it’s no biggie after all

Here’s where things get really interesting as regards this breakup: the same celebrity publication says that, while news of the split might come as a shock, it won’t be an unpleasant surprise for the Kardashians because they never really liked the rapper as Khloe’s boyfriend to begin with.

Kris, in particular, Khloe’s mother and manager / momager, never took kindly to him and had often told her that he was bad news for her, so she’s relieved to see that her has daughter finally gotten the message.

That’s a strange thing to see in print when Kris would post countless messages and photos on social media with and about French, in which she professed her “love” for him. As noted above, one particular report even said that she’d gotten on board as his part-time manager, securing him a fat paycheck as regular on the reality show.

Was romance just another fauxmance?

The Kardashians, like most other reality stars out there, are known to create drama where there is none, just to boost interest in their shows and get better ratings. Faux romances (fauxmances by their industry term) are not that rare with the Klan, or celebrities in general.

Given the amount of screentime Montana got on the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and the way this romance seems to have played out mostly in the tabloids, to the clear advantage of both, and then ended conveniently when there was nothing more to promote, it would probably not be that impossible to think it was an arranged fauxmance for PR purposes.

If it wasn’t, then Khloe still needs better luck in men because, so far, she’s had the worst kind.
