New UI also slapped on the useful macro program for OS X

Stairways Software has announced the availability of Keyboard Maestro 3.2. The update brings a slew of new additions and tweaks, but also bug fixes and code-level enhancements. Noteworthy additions include a new UI, the ability to records macros for replay and new options for pre-recorded 'triggering' of macros.

Keyboard Maestro is a great tool that lets Mac OS X users design a custom keyboard using their own shortcuts. Users can activate them at any time they want, but can also use them to navigate through running applications and open windows working with an unlimited number of clipboards. The program also uses this cool feature called Select Menu Item, which allows you to assign a hot key to any menu item in any application. Maestro's macro abilities also come in handy when you want to automate click mouse actions.

As noted above, Keyboard Maestro 3.2 brings quite a list of enhancements. Let's see some of them.

First of all, you have new Macro Group options including: enable contained Macros only immediately after a Hot Key press; toggle contained Macros with a Hot Key press; display a floating palette of contained Macros only after a Hot Key press; toggle display of a floating palette of contained Macros with a Hot Key press; display a floating palette of contained Macros;

Other highlights include:

- Added extensive Help to Macro Group Editor. - Added Quick Start help to Macros Pane. - Try Now button tries only selected actions. - Script pseudo-trigger. - Wake trigger. - Login trigger. - Added Alert action with Stop/Continue dialog. - Support Delete key in Clipboard History Switcher. - Allow Macros without any direct triggers. - Move Clipboard -> Insert Text action menu item to Text -> Insert Text - Disable editing for Global Macro Group. - Save & Restore Unix/AppleScript Results Window Size & Position. - Save Log files in ~/Library/Log/Keyboard Maestro folder. - Remove Macro Group "Never" - replace with Disabled.
