Three key members of People Can Fly, the Polish developer currently in charge of the upcoming Gears of War: Judgment title, have left the studio, according to an announcement made by Epic Games, the company’s owner.

It’s been a busy week for Epic Games, as the independent developer has confirmed the formation of a brand new subsidiary, in the form of Impossible Studios, as well as the fact that its director of production, Rod Fergusson, has left the company in order to help out Irrational Games with its upcoming BioShock Infinite title.

Now, Epic has confirmed that three more key developers have left its family, this time in the form of People Can Fly’s Creative Director, Adrian Chmielarz, as well as two lead artists from the Polish studio, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki.

The move was just revealed by Epic’s President, Mike Capps, who told Kotaku that the three developers have left of their accord and that work on People Can Fly’s next big game, Gears of War: Judgment, is still underway.

"Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have parted ways with People Can Fly and Epic Games in order to pursue other opportunities, which they will announce of their own accord," Capps said. "Over the past decade, they have been instrumental in building People Can Fly into the talented team that it is today. We wish them well in their future endeavors. People Can Fly remains excited to release Gears of War: Judgment to fans early next year."

Chmielarz also moved to soothe the worries of Gear of War fans, saying on his Twitter account that they were going to love Judgment and that “it’s in good hands.”

He also mentioned that his plans after departing from People Can Fly would be unveiled soon enough.

Gears of War: Judgment is set to appear in March 2013, exclusively for the Xbox 360.
