14 DAY TRIAL // It's a baby girl for Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle! One third of the famous musical band the Jonas Brothers, Kevin, had a lot of celebrating to do and it wasn't just for the Super Bowl weekend. His wife Danielle gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday, February 2.
The Baby's name is Alena Rose Jonas and she is the first child of the young couple, said to have arrived after an eight hours of labor. Following in the trend of today's social media, the proud father kept his hoards of fans up to date with constant Twitter updates on his wife's condition.
The 4.2 million followers of the older Jonas were close to the star's updates on Sunday, as a victorious Kevin write “#babyjonas in on the way!! Follow dreft for all the updates!!! It's showtime #thisisnotadrill.”
He got just a little personal with the details when he later added “I'm so excited #BabyJonasIsComing. Here we go we're pushing!!!! #babyjonas.”
There was also a photo of the happy new mother and the cute newborn posted on the Dreft Instagram page, just after the Super Bowl kicked off.
The parents released a statement in which they express their excitement, “"We are overjoyed at the birth of Alena Rose Jonas. She is precious! We could not be more excited to start building our family together. We want to thank our family and friends for their love and support, and our fans for all of their well wishes.”
Danielle made her pregnancy public last July when she said in an interview that she was overjoyed but also “nervous and excited.” As for the impetuous father, he described the pregnancy as being “the most exciting thins in my life so far,” which is saying a lot considering his famous musical career.
The birth of little Alena occurred just one day after the funeral of the Jonas brothers' grandfather. Both other Jonas brothers expressed their happiness at becoming uncles, pointing out that as one life ends, another begins.
Kevin Jonas and Danielle have been married for four years, starting off his wedlock at the tender age of 22.
