While for months in a row he’s been known as nothing else than Britney Spears’ husband, or as the K-Fed everyone loved to hate, now, the former dancer/rapper seems to be determined to make a name for himself with help from no one. Reports in the media are saying that Kevin Federline is currently prepping a collection of children’s clothes.

Blogger Perez Hilton claims to have it from reliable sources that Federline will soon put his name to a fashion line – be it for kids as it is. While Perez says he knows for sure the collection will be called Otzi, he also says he has no info on when it might come out or what it could include, as neither does he know the extent of Federline’s involvement in it.

Nevertheless, given the failed attempt at a music career of a while back, this could actually be a good means for Kevin Federline to attain the status he’s been dreaming of ever since he first met Britney. At the same time, various media outlets point out, this could also turn out to be just the thing for him to get the world to take him seriously – something that obstinately refused to happen both when he put out a music album and when he tried acting.

Kevin broke into the spotlight when he married pop star Britney Spears in 2004, after just three months of dating and despite the fact that he was, at the time, involved with his longtime girlfriend, who is also the mother of his two children. Two years and two children later, Britney filed for divorce, amidst speculation of cheating on Kevin’s behalf, nights spent in Las Vegas on her money, and leeching on her fame and hard-earned bucks. 

With the divorce becoming final, all hopes that Kevin might have had of a music and/or acting career came crumbling down, proving once and for all that whatever attention he had got while still with Britney was nothing but her doing. If this children’s clothes line rumor does materialize and Federline puts his name to it, this may actually be his first endeavor he makes on his own – as well as his vehicle to fame.
