Kevin Durant was just named as the cover star of the upcoming NBA 2K13 and the leader of the Oklahoma City Thunder says that he is already a fan of the franchise and that he uses its MyCareer mode in order to unwind and enjoys its level of realism.

During a press conference attended by Polygon, the athlete stated that, “I feel it's an escape even though it's still basketball. I enjoy taking your guy through the season, getting drafted, sitting the bench, becoming a starter and then just trying to get better.”

Kevin Durant believes that the journey that the gamer undertakes when playing the MyCareer mode in the series is very similar to the life of an actual basketball player in the NBA.

The player was named the Most Valuable Player of the regular season earlier in the week and he has been praised for the way he has contributed to the success of his team.

NBA 2K15 will be launched during the fall of this year on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and current-gen consoles.

The development team has promised that it will introduce more realism to the experience and that it will expand the options that the gamer has.
