Recently, Kevin Federline, Britney's husband (they married in 2004 and have a son, Sean Preston) has attacked the media's "unfair" portrayal of him. The dancer and wannabe white bad rapper told Newsweek for its issue on newsstands Monday, referring to how the media describes him: "'He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day. If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?"
He doesn't understand why the American press has turned on him since the birth of baby Sean Preston last year.
Kevin also declared he is ready for a backlash over his brand-new role as white-boy rapper. But a backlash means people liked you before
Despite all his negative press, Federline is still optimistic. He has released a single "PopoZao" on his Web site. He says it got 2 million hits in eight days, which proves there's interest.
Kevin plans to release his debut album by this spring, and insists he won't be featuring his wife on the album: "We have collaborated," he declared for the same magazine. "But I'm not going to put the songs on this album because it's like, 'Respect me first; then I'll show you what I've done with my wife.'" He might have to wait a long time to get that respect.
