Kerbal Space Program, the award-winning space agency simulation game, gained considerable notoriety while still under development by Squad. The developers have now announced the details of its latest content upgrade, titled Update 0.23.

Squad also released a new animation trailer, celebrating their creation's third anniversary event, KerbalKon 2013.

Noteworthy additions featured in the update are the possibility of adjusting several parts during construction, in order to tweak rockets and ships to personal preference, the addition of the Science Archives, allowing the browsing of all the science collected during Career Mode games, and a new Laboratory Module that allows experiments to be processed prior to their transmission home, increasing their value.

“We continue to update and enhance our Career Mode but this update should also please the sandbox players with our tweakable parts, that give them more customization opportunities during building,” Lead Developer Felipe Falanghe commented on the update.

Players were given an early look at Update 0.23 during this year's KerbalKon, a streaming event that took place December 12-13. The upcoming Update 0.23 is due Tuesday, December 17.
