A terrorist group claiming the attack at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya have tweeted that their suspects are alive.

"The hostages who were being held by the Mujahideen inside #Westgate are still alive, looking quite disconcerted but, nevertheless, alive," they reportedly posted on Twitter, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Even as said account has not been made public, The Site Intelligence Group, a watchdog monitoring international terrorist groups, has confirmed that it does indeed belong to the radical Islamist formation.

Posted above is a snapshot of two armed suspects inside the mall. It has been tweeted by a local press agency earlier today, as proof that the gunmen are still alive.

62 people have died in the attack, which has been raging on since Saturday.
