Police and the Army are still at a standoff with Islamic radical forces taking over a shopping mall in Kenya.

According to the AP, two suspects have been killed as armed law enforcement forces broke inside the compound. Four massive explosions have been heard at the site.

The attack on the Nairobi mall, carried out by the al-Shabab from Somalia, has begun on Saturday. Earlier reports mentioned that 15 to 20 gunmen were still inside the building on Sunday.

The death toll in the incident has risen to 62, as more than 100 people have been injured. Some have suffered critical injuries after gunmen blasted their way inside the mall with grenades and automatic weapons.

They only let out Muslim shoppers, and tested them by having them recite a prayer or answer questions on Islam.

Kenya Chief of Defense forces Gen. Julius Karangi explains that the Somalian group, which is linked to al-Qaida, has been aided by radicals from several countries in carrying out the attack.
