Kensington to Introduce Sexy Slim Blade Media Keyboard Puzzle

- You can swap the magnetic modules to achieve any optimal combination

By: Bogdan Botezatu, Hardware Editor

Kensington's Slim Blade Media Desktop Set comes in just as I thought that the computer keyboard could not go beyond its current state. In fact, a keyboard is a keyboard, no matter how sleek, ergonomic
or "optimized" it would look. Kensington's keyboard comes to show that I might be wrong.

Clicking keyboards can hardly be referred to as sexy, yet Kensington's Slim Blade product comes as an extremely refined piece of desktop aimed at computer users. The Slim Blade is not a single unit, but a set of four distinct pieces that pair in order to give the user access to extra functionality.

Three of the pieces are magnetically-attached modules that allows you to transform them into any combo you would find useful. It's up to your own taste if you had rather wish the media player remote control to sit to the right or left of the main key frame.

The whole set of puzzle-like accessories communicates to the computer wirelessly, which adds some extra mobility. The wireless receiver is intelligently integrated into the USB-based mouse, with a scroll ball for 360 intuitive scrolling.

The combo units include 4-in-1 keyboard, mouse, keypad and remote. The Universal Keyboard with PC or Mac hotkeys that gives the user instant access to the most used software applications, browser and email client. The keypad can prove an essential tool when performing banking or tax-related operations. It is also any accountant's dream, as it facilitates access to the numeric pad with arithmetic functions.

The mouse is designed in a way that will spare the user the extra care of turning it off when it is not needed. It automatically detects the idle mode and switches into sleep state. The entire package is coated with smooth veneer, which outlines its stylish shape.
