Kensington Extends Battery Life for iPhone, iPod

Kensington Computer Products Group has released two Battery Pack kits for iPhone and iPod. One is regular-sized (whatever that means) complete with charger, while the other is a Mini Battery Pack kit (also ships with Charger) for the same Apple iPhone and iPod. They cost $69.99 and $49.99 respectively, and are available from Kensington's website.

"The Kensington Battery Pack and Charger for iPhone and iPod provides a go-anywhere, backup battery pack so the music and videos can keep playing," the company says and, by the looks of the features, they're not lying. The large version offers up to 100 hours of additional music playback time, 21 hours of video playback and/or six extra hours of talk time. The kit ships with this mini USB cable that allows you to charge up other devices as well, so if you're the proud owner of a PDA or Bluetooth headset, aside an iPhone/iPod, you can power up those too.

The rechargeable Kensington Mini Battery Pack and Charger for iPhone and iPod, which is designed for comfort and portability, offers up to 30 more hours of music play time, six more hours of video playback and three more hours of talk time (separately, of course). The Kensington Mini Battery Pack and Charger for iPhone and iPod includes a retractable USB charging cable, that is able to stay connected to the iPod or iPhone thanks to its reduced size.

Both devices can fit any iPod sporting a dock connector. However, third-generation iPods and the iPhone aren't supported. Battery Pack and Charger for iPhone and iPod is backed by the Kensington 2-year warranty.
