Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney were married for five months and mysteriously split afterwards. There was no declaration from Renee on the reasons that led her to filing the papers for the marriage's annulment. That until the silence was filled with rumors.
The film "Brokeback Mountain" inspired gossipers. With a story revolving around the love between two gay cowboys, the movie made people come with the idea that the reason why Renee left Kenny so suddenly and without warning was that she supposedly found out he was gay.
The country singer is now trying to put an end to the relentless gossip.
He declared that people have "done nothing short of calling me gay and (Renee) a whore. None of those things are true. I'm pretty firm in my sexuality and my love for women."
He said that allegations made upon him being gay have hurt him immensely.
A simple way to discard them would be to make public why Renee left him.
Until then, the cowboy will probably head for the road, as he had declared that music and driving are his only relieves when in pain:
"No matter what's going on in my life, there are two things that have stayed the same: the road and the radio. I look for the answers there, on a long stretch of highway or in a great song."
