14 DAY TRIAL // Hank Baskett allegedly cheated on his wife, Kendra Wilkinson, with a transgender model, got caught, tried to pay his way out of trouble, and eventually had to come clean with everything – to Kendra, not to the world, because he’s yet to address this publicly.
This is just the latest in a long series of celebrity cheating scandals that have been grabbing daily headlines, but what was different about it was the fact that the other woman, the self-titled model Ava London, went on record with her side of the story.
Hank and Kendra never did, which meant more time for London to spill the beans on everything – and by that we mean everything, from their first encounter and how it played out to the amounts of money Hank gave her throughout the course of a few weeks, his desperate calls to her, begging her not to speak to the media, his promise he would provide for her financially, the works.
The more London talked, the more determined Hank and Kendra seemed to say absolutely nothing, which, in turn, begged the question: could they be saving their words for a more spectacular reveal, like, say, one that a reality show could provide?
Yes, they were. They are.
Life & Style magazine reports that Wilkinson’s people are advising her to document her marital drama on camera and then to include the footage on her reality show because she “needs” to be true to the fans.
Another thing she “needs” is money, and badly so.
“[Kendra’s] management team told her she needs the money and it could hurt her career if she isn’t truthful about what’s going on. Kendra feels like she has little choice but to cash in on what happened,” an insider tells the mag.
Reports claim that the former Playboy Bunny really doesn’t know whether to continue married to Hank or just kick him to the curb and move on with her life but, you see, she’s thinking of their two kids together and how a divorce would affect them.
She will eventually do the reality show as her management is telling her to, but only for the kids, to make sure they’re well taken care of when she and Hank break up for good.
“Should they divorce, Kendra would be on the hook for taking care of him. That’s a huge concern for her. She’s really worried about going broke,” another tipster explains for the same media outlet.
So this is near-confirmation that Kendra and Hank will be airing all their dirty laundry on TV very soon. The scenario by which the scandal played out is eerily familiar: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott also went through a similar experience, but Kendra did it better because she also found someone to take all the heat for being “the other woman.”
