Kendra Wilkinson emerges in public after cheating scandal, is not wearing her wedding band

A couple of weeks ago, Kendra Wilkinson stepped out in public for the first time since news broke that her husband Hank Baskett had cheated on her with a transgender model, doing her best to put on a brave face. Behind closed doors, she’s a mess, a friend reveals for People magazine.

Unlike many other celebrity publications / rags, most of the stories that People runs are pre-approved by celebrities. In fact, word has it, many of these “friends” who open up to their reporters are the stars themselves or their publicists, leaking stories for a purpose.

If that’s the case here too, Kendra wants you to know that she’s really heartbroken. The purpose of this leak could be that she’s thinking of featuring all her marital drama on her reality show and she wants you to know that she was devastated by what she found out about Hank.

Or, of course, she could just have very bad friends, the kind that spill the beans on her private turmoil the moment she turns her back to them.

According to this particular insider, Kendra has been in hell since she found out of Hank’s tryst with transgender model Ava London and how he tried to pay her off to keep her mouth shut. It wasn’t Hank who told her about it: she received a phone call one day before the story leaked, and a couple of days before London started talking to the press.

Kendra’s first reaction was to kick Hank out of the house and out of her life as well but, dishes the spy, she stopped short of doing the latter because “she is healing [from her daughter's delivery] and needs help with the kids.” She did kick him out of the house, albeit only for a few nights.

“She confronted Hank, [but] he denied it until he found out that the woman took a lie detector test and had to admit it,” the insider continues. “She feels so stupid walking around like her life was so perfect and that her marriage was so solid. She feels like such a fool.”

Kendra cries all the time, “every day” and wishes she could just get up and leave Hank, but she understands that she has to do her best to solve this somehow because their 2 children are caught in the middle and she doesn’t want them to suffer, not if she can prevent it.

The insider doesn’t say whether Hank is back at home now, but this certainly seems to be the case. Kendra is hurt and in shock, but there’s the implication in the insider’s words that she’s willing to sacrifice herself and, no matter how heartbroken, to take Hank back for the kids.

All this time, another rumor is picking up traction online: the scenario seems eerily familiar, having already played out on our TV screens in Tori Spelling’s True Tori Lifetime docu-series. She too claimed her husband cheated on her but eventually forgave him for the sake of their 4 kids and the love they once shared, but solid evidence indicates the entire scandal was fake.

Could Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett (and Ava London) be pulling a similar stunt just for ratings and a boost in popularity / money? What do you think?
