14 DAY TRIAL // Kendra Wilkinson is continuing the media tour to promote the new season of her reality show Kendra on Top, with a stop by Access Hollywood. As before, the topic of interest remains that of husband Hank Baskett’s cheating and whether she believes him when he says he didn’t do anything wrong, let alone have relations with a transgender model.
As you can see in the video below, Kendra is going out of her way to defend Hank and get viewers to want to tune in for her reality show, by not revealing too much of a possible outcome.
In other words, don’t expect to hear her say whether she’ll divorce Hank or not because of the scandal.
Still, there must be some truth to the story
That’s not to say that she doesn’t believe the rumors. To those out of the loop, a quick introduction on Hank and Kendra’s marital drama: earlier this year, news broke that Hank had cheated on his pregnant wife with a transgender model he had picked up online.
The model herself, Ava London, stepped forward to give her side of the story and offer all the sordid details of the tryst, which, apparently, didn’t see them sleep together. However, relations were had and money did exchange hands.
Perhaps even worse, when Hank found out that the story was coming out, he tried to bribe Ava into keeping her mouth shut, promising her he would provide for her… the moment he was able to get money out of his and his wife’s joint bank account without her knowing.
All this blew up in the media, and Kendra decided to have everything documented on camera because, she said a while back, she couldn’t stand the idea of being “alone” in her torment.
Now, 4 months later, she admits that, while she’s giving Hank the benefit of the doubt in all this, she’s convinced that there must be some truth to the story. However, she can’t say which part that would be.
Divorce is still a possibility
Though Kendra says she and Hank are “working things out right now,” she stresses that she could still file for divorce tomorrow, so the conflict is far from solved. But there is a certain ray of hope.
“In my eyes, life is too short and this man who I loved for six years – I believe he deserves… a second chance, if he did make a mistake. And right now I'm working that out. I'm working on what happened and if this was a mistake, which I believe, I'm starting to believe it was,” she says.
“If I believed that Hank had an affair on me, the divorce would have gone through already. I'm holding on to any hope I have,” Kendra continues.
These two statements sound contradictory: first, the former Playboy Bunny seems to imply that Hank did cheat on her but she’s willing to forgive him and move on, only to add in the next sentence that she would never forgive infidelity, so the mere fact that she’s still with Hank is proof that he didn’t cheat.
The bottom line is this: Kendra wants you to tune in for the new season of her show, because that’s the only way you’re going to get any answers. Considering she’s said to have staged this whole cheating scandal just so she could boost ratings, are you sure the answer she gives you with the new season is one that you want to hear?
