Pretty much like “The Twilight Saga” catapulted Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and everyone else appearing in the movies to the heights of fame, the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” is expected to do the same for the actors in it. Kendall Jenner, reality star turned model, also wants a share of the pie.

The first film in a planned trilogy will be out in theaters on Valentine’s Day 2015 and will probably make leading couple Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson the hottest stars of the moment. However, those appearing in smaller roles will also benefit from a boost in popularity, and the attention singer Rita Ora has already been getting for her minor part is proof of that.

Kendall Jenner, who is reportedly looking to drop her last name so that she can be taken seriously as a model, is also interested in breaking into Hollywood: so, she wants a part in the sequel. That’s right, the first movie isn’t even out yet, but we’re already discussing casting possibilities for the second one. This is how you know that the franchise will be a massive hit, even if critics hate it.

According to Stylelist, citing reports in the British media, director Sam Taylor-Wood, who helmed the first film, is quite intrigued with the possibility of bringing Kendall on board.

“[Sam]'s fascinated by her and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn't happen. Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well,” an insider says.

“It wouldn't be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood. Apparently, she'll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director,” the spy continues.

So, Kendall is looking to move away from reality television by actively pursuing not just a career in modeling but also in film. Granted, a role in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise might not bring her too much credibility as an actress, but it will definitely provide her with ample exposure, while also allowing her the chance to show off her acting skills, if she has them.

The “Fifty Shades” trilogy of films is based on the best-selling series of novels by E.L. James, which started as “Twilight” fan-fiction. The books tell the love story between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who lead completely lives and have opposite interests in all areas. They eventually make it work, but after several, very passionate and X-rated lovemaking sessions.
