Ken Levine, the leader of the development team at Irrational Games, says that he is currently writing content for a new video game experience, which is drawing inspiration from a number of unlikely sources.

On his official Twitter feed, the main creator of BioShock Infinite writes, “Game writing this afternoon. This is something else.”

He says that the writing session is being linked to a number of inspirations: Mad Men, P.T. Anderson, the work of the Coen brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Steven Soderbergh, Stoppard, Sondheim and other video games.

It’s unclear whether Ken Levine is working on new content that will be linked to BioShock Infinite or if his team is already exploring the possibilities of an entirely new game world.

The team at Irrational Games has confirmed that it has extra content planned for its most recent release.
