Ken Levine is one of the most appreciated game creators in the industry, with a unique vision and the ability to create universes that feel alive when the gamer explores them, and he is now ready to offer some more details on the new game project he is working on, even if at the moment it does not have a clear name.

On his official Twitter account, the developer says that the new project is currently only linked to the PC, although the nature of modern gaming consoles probably means that it would be easy for the full title to be then ported to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

It seems that the next Ken Levine project will be a shooter, which will be played from either a first or a third-person perspective, and it will use a science fiction theme, with an universe that is created entirely from scratch.

The core of the experience will be the narrative that it will explore, with gamers able to influence all events through their actions, even if they do not immediately see the effects.

The title will be replayable and Ken Levine says that he is drawing inspiration from the movies created by Wes Anderson and Stanley Kubrick.

At the moment, the developer is not saying when his team might reveal actual information about the game or images taken from it.

Levine also answered some questions about the BioShock series and joked about the possibility of adding vampires to his project.

Irrational Games no longer exists

The BioShock series was an innovative attempt to take the classic shooter genre and to introduce a range of player choices and significant narrative twists.

Many fans appreciated the work done by the team at Irrational Games, but there were also some who criticized the narrative of the final title, Infinite.

Ken Levine then announced that he was disbanding Irrational Games and that he was aiming to work with a smaller team in order to try and create video games with more of a focus on story and more replayability.

A future title from the developer will be published by 2K Games.
