Greenpeace is encouraging the public to vote for its eco-friendly video that stands a solid chance of winning a famous TEDAds Award.

The competition aims to reward the most intelligent, ingenious innovation in advertising and the comic video launched by Greenpeace appears to be a strong candidate for this title.

The video reveals Ken and Barbie's breakup in a funny way while also revealing a serious fact posing harmful environmental changes: the destruction of millions of hectares of rainforest in Indonesia, triggered by Mattel, a leading name in the toy industry.

TED and YouTube encourage all participants to submit their work or nominate and vote for their favorite campaigns respecting all the criteria announced by organizers until the last day of this year. All the guidelines are posted on TED.com.

Those who want to make a difference and preserve rainforests can support Ken's decision of dumping Barbie on Ted's YouTube channel.
