If you're on Twitter and you don't use grammar and punctuation properly, then lookout, Kelsey Grammer might be coming for you! The actor made famous by his role in the TV series “Frazier” joined Twitter, and his first words were a caution to those who don't use write grammatically correct tweets.

In an effort to show you that he was all business, Kelsey even started #KelseyGrammerGrammar as a hash-tag. His first tweet was “It has come to my attention that the fine people of @Twitter have an egregious grammar problem. I’m here to help. #KelseyGrammerGrammar.”

In case the sense of the word “egregious” eludes you, let us explain it to you: it means “shockingly bad” and it offers an insight into what Grammer thinks of the current state of grammar on Twitter, something which he aims to correct with his vigilant eye.

No sooner did Grammer set up his Twitter account, that he started to work on correcting people's tweets, mostly among his followers. Fortunately for him, there was no shortage of material, since people seemed to ignore grammar and punctuation in their messages to the actor.

“@StoneTired, I’m honored you think so, but believe it should be *it’s. #KelseyGrammerGrammar,” he told a follower who had congratulated him on his movies.

The correcting trend went on other people's status updates, as Kelsey tirelessly and patiently pointed out what was incorrect in people's messages to him. “.@Chunkysequins Lack of punctuation aside, I think you meant ‘his father’s shenanigans.’ #KelseyGrammerGrammar,” he told another follower that had complimented his “Transformers” movie.

Ironically, the more people Kelsey corrected, the more people noticed his profile and the more began following him, giving him the opportunity to correct even more Twitterers. At the time the article was written, the actor had amassed over 10,000 followers.

This isn't the first time Kelsey comes on Twitter. His previous account was used primarily to say hi to fans, so it wasn't all that active. The most interesting thing that happened was when he announced his divorce. At the time, he managed to write seven tweets just to ask for privacy.

It wasn't long after that Grammer's account was shut down, probably due to inactivity, but this time around, he looks poised to make a bigger impact.

As for his movie projects, the legendary actor is billed to appear in the “Expendable 3” this summer along with a hoard of aging action heroes.
