In order to eliminate all the speculation regarding a ring she's been spotted wearing, former “Destiny's Child” singer Kelly Rowland finally admitted on The Queen Latifah Show

that she is indeed a soon-to-be-married woman.

What is interesting and exciting about this particular situation is that Kelly's fiancée was not only in a different zip code than Kelly, but he was in a different time zone altogether.

At the time, longtime boyfriend and manager Tim Witherspoon was in Bulgaria and decided to pop the question via Skype.

The X Factor judge said that “He put a ring on it,” quoting a line from a famous song by Beyonce and thus confirming what many suspected at the first sight of the ring. The 32-year-old talked about her relationship with Tim and said that, “It's been a while. We've kept it very, very low - for years, to be completely honest.”

“He asked me first on Skype, and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other',” Kelly said of the actual proposal. “But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Queen Latifah was excited at the news but quipped that Kelly had finally got rid of all the speculation, as many of Latifah's friends had crushes on her and she was sick of brushing them off to leave Kelly alone. This is why she felt it was important for Kelly to get off the market.

Tim Witherspoon wins this year's most unusual marriage request for celebrities, even if Kanye West tried really hard and also spent a lot of money by renting out the entire AT&T park and bringing in a 50-piece orchestra to mark the occasion.
