Kelly Rowland Reveals Diet Secrets

Cutting out sugar has helped Kelly Rowland drop about 10 pounds off problem areas

Many women struggle to lose weight, but to former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, shaking a few pounds came about without as much as putting in too much of an effort. After reading a book that told her she was what she ate, the star decided to follow some of those tips and lost about 10 pounds, she tells People magazine.

As per the publication, Rowland is in much better shape today than she’s ever been and that can be put down to cutting out sugar from her diet and working out more with her personal trainer. What’s amazing, though, is that Kelly did not even want to lose weight that much – why should she, some would ask, when she looked just fine before –; it just happened. Now that it did, she’s positively ecstatic with her new body.

“I’m telling you, I’m not eating sugar,” Kelly told People at a recent press event in New York City. “I didn’t even try to lose weight. I read this book, called ‘You Are What You’ Eat.’ [The author, Gillian McKeith,] is talking about sugar, she’s talking about meat, she’s talking about cheese. I did some of those things for a month, but for the most part, it is just sugar that is gone from my diet,” the singer goes on to explain.

The results are very visible and quite surprising if compared to the kind of effort she put in, the singer goes on to say. She’s lost about 10 pounds, mostly off problem areas like her hips and backside and, what’s more important, she feels better than she ever has. Temptation is not an issue either, as she finds it extremely easy to fight it whenever some of her friends are telling her to indulge, that she needs a sweet treat.

“I lost weight, probably almost 10 pounds. But 10 pounds did a lot. All of my friends are going, ‘Oh, I need you to eat a muffin.’ It’s more here, in the hip and [rear] area, but it’s definitely trimmed down since no sugar has taken place,” Rowland says. Cutting sugar out of her diet is not the sole responsible for the singer’s amazing figure. “Right now, I have a pole dance instructor in Miami and she teaches me a lot. You’d be surprised how hard those ladies work,” she adds.

Baked meat, Vegetables steamed or boiled, fruit...Apples. Berries...A sweet indulge once a month....I`m getting a Food Diary...Thanks Miss Kelly
