Kelly Osbourne, daughter of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and the outspoken Sharon, has fought a very public battle with her weight, often resorting to unhealthy tricks such as fad dieting and starving herself to shift the extra pounds. Now, as she reveals to Closer magazine, she has found the perfect way to get a toned body and she recommends it to all who listen: dancing and Pilates.

Kelly is a contestant on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars and, as rehearsals progress, so is her body getting in an ever more admirable shape. As of now, the television star and occasional singer has managed to lose about 7kg in just three weeks, and she did not even do anything in particular for it. That is not to say she just laid on her couch, but rather that she did not follow a specific diet – just a rigorous workout routine that consisted of many hours of dance rehearsals and some Pilates classes.

“I’ve almost lost a full stone already, I’m so excited! By the end of it I’ll be a lean, mean machine. It’s so amazing, I’ve tried so many stupid fad diets to try to lose weight, when all I needed to do was start dancing.” Kelly says for Closer. Her routine is made of five hours a day rehearsing her dance numbers, and then three more weekly sessions of Pilates, a workout she has come to love and, why not, urge every woman to try it at least once to see how many benefits it has.

“My whole life has changed so much since Dancing With The Stars. I’ve never felt so healthy. Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I’m even starting to get muscles on my tummy – it’s incredible. I’ve become totally obsessed with Pilates, everyone should try it.” Kelly further says. In all fairness, the results are clearly visible, as the star unveiled her more toned figure on an outing in London the other day.

As fans must remember, also recently, Kelly was telling the media that her biggest body-image problem was not that she was fat, but rather that she was small and curvy. If she were a bit taller, the few extra pounds would look great on her, Kelly believed at the time. However, since that was not an option she could do something about, the star vouches she’s extremely happy she has found dancing and Pilates in the meantime.
