For some months now, Kelly Osbourne has been rocking gray-ish, purple-ish hair that does nothing for her complexion or her style. She recently explained why she chose such an “unfavorable” color – and it's not what you'd expect.
On The Talk the other day, the topic of Kelly's hair came up and she was asked why she'd choose such an unflattering shade, not to mention keep it on after being criticized in the press.
She said (quote via
Evil Beet Gossip) that she opted for the color because she'd always wondered how it was like to be young and have gray hair.
Plus, she added, she's only got a few years left to try out things on her hair, as foolish as they might be.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. I’ve always wanted to be young and have gray hair,” Kelly explained.
“To me, I’m 27, I’ve got three years left, the way I look at it, to have fun with it, because once you’re 30, you look like a right idiot walking around with like rainbow, bright color hair and all different things like that,” she added.
By the looks of it, she's determined to keep the current 'do for as long as she wants, regardless of what others have to say about it.
Kelly has also made headlines recently for other things than her hair color or her (sometimes disastrous)
red carpet appearances.
In October last year, right after the Michael Jackson tribute concert Michael Forever, where Christina Aguilera performed, Osbourne slammed the diva for her weight gain once more, mocking her on the E! show Fashion Police.
“Trust me. I’m a [size] 2/4. That is not a 2/4.’ She called me fat for years. I was never that fat,” she said on that particular occasion, as we
also reported at the time.
That wasn't the first time Osbourne was bashing the singer in public either: she'd done it just months before, on the same platform, the fashion show she's co-hosting.
“Maybe she's just becoming the fat [expletive] she was always born to be. I don’t know. She was a [expletive] to me. She called me fat for so many [expletive]-ing years, so you know what? [Expletive] you, you’re fat too!”
she said with spiteful glee, when talking about Aguilera's curvier figure.
