“I want to try new things,” she says politely

At the end of last month, Kelly Osbourne abruptly left E!’s Fashion Police after having gotten involved in the controversy surrounding co-host Giuliana Rancic’s racially offensive comment on Zendaya Coleman’s hair at the Oscars 2015.

Rumor has it that Kelly was fired for threatening to quit the show if Rancic didn’t apologize, or that she was fired because this was the final straw for producers, who had already grown tired of her diva antics on set.

Other reports claim that she wasn’t fired, but that she walked out of her own volition, sick of the desperate attempts to boost ratings from the producers and her co-hosts.

To her credit, after the initial Twitter threat to quit, Kelly hasn’t said anything more on the topic. As the video below shows, she probably intends to leave it that way.

Kelly joined her mother Sharon Osbourne on The Talk the other day, and obviously, the topic of her exit from Fashion Police came up. Kelly kept her comment (almost uncharacteristically) diplomatic and respectful, focusing on her need for change and desire to move on.

Either Kelly has matured a lot since she’s been in the spotlight, or she’s still under contract with E!, which means that she can’t speak about her exit just yet. If it’s the latter, count on her spilling all the dirt the very instant she’s allowed to.
